About The Position

Principles Recovery Center (PRC) offers year-round practicum and internship opportunities for graduate students seeking supervised clinical experience in adult dual-diagnosis treatment. Our PHP and IOP programs provide rich, hands-on experience in both substance use and mental health care within a supportive, high-standards clinical environment. PRC is a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment center serving adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Practicum students and interns are integrated directly into the clinical team to observe, learn, and progressively participate in therapeutic services under licensed supervision. Students gain exposure to individual, family, and group therapy for adults; case conceptualization and collaborative treatment planning; relapse prevention strategies and evidence-based SUD interventions; crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization approaches; admissions, biopsychosocial assessments, and clinical documentation workflows; and evidence-based modalities used at PRC (DBT, CBT, MI, Trauma-Informed Care, and more). Our goal is to help students strengthen their clinical identity while upholding the PRC values of compassion, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
