Join EquiLend's global Marketing & Communications team as a PR & Events Manager, where your talent in public relations and event management will amplify our voice and shape how we're seen by the world. Based in our New York City office, you'll lead media engagement efforts and orchestrate impactful events that position EquiLend at the forefront of the financial services landscape. Your work will leave a lasting impression on our clients, partners, and teams globally.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists in the financial services sector.
  • Develop and execute a media engagement strategy, craft compelling press pitches, and secure consistent media coverage.
  • Respond to press inquiries, coordinate interviews, and prepare spokespeople with briefing sheets and talking points.
  • Write and distribute press releases, ensuring alignment with EquiLend's key messages.
  • Coach spokespeople on best practices for engaging with the media to ensure impactful representation.
  • Plan and execute live events by liaising with internal stakeholders and external conference organizers.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, organize pre-event preparation calls, and gather feedback post-event.
  • Handle domestic and international shipping of event materials, maintain a global inventory of branded merchandise and marketing collateral, and provide on-site event support, including setup and photography.
  • Set up and run webinars using Zoom, manage panelist preparation, and handle all administrative controls during live sessions.
  • Monitor RSVPs and email communications to ensure high attendance and engagement.
  • Partner with internal teams such as Marketing, Sales, CRM, Product, and Business Management to align event goals with broader organizational objectives.
  • Continuously refine event planning processes, provide innovative ideas for improving future events, and actively seek feedback from stakeholders to enhance effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in PR, event management, or a related field within financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft press pitches and secure media coverage.
  • Established relationships with journalists covering financial services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Eventbrite, Zoom, and photography is a plus.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel and after-hours work.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
