About the position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in White Bear Lake, MN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Completing repair activities on generators or components, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed records of service, adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products, and maintaining your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintaining detailed records of service
• Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintaining own tools
• Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
• Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch
• Mentoring junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Requirements

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision
• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
