About the position
The System Analyst position is focused on supporting various workforce development applications, including the One Stop Management Information System (OSMIS) and related tools. The role involves requirement gathering, business process analysis, and software testing to enhance user experience and improve business processes. The analyst will collaborate with product development teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and facilitate agile product development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement gathering and business process analysis/improvement.
- Manage requirements and perform software testing.
- Assess 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes and document gaps.
- Collect end-user requirements through interviews and focus groups.
- Categorize and segment similar requirements to address client pain points.
- Maintain up-to-date requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
- Facilitate planning and requirements meetings to improve user experience.
- Collaborate with product development teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Maintain reusable scripts, technical documentation, and specifications.
- Develop user stories and initial wireframes for proposed solutions.
- Participate in regression testing, quality assurance testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Serve as a liaison between client business users and the development team.
- Collaborate to elicit new product ideas and improve existing solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a System/Business Analyst conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing.
- Minimum 1 year of RDBMS / SQL experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Preferred experience in Agile/Scrum.
- Experience in SAP BO is a plus.
