About the position

The Rogers Lab at Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to contribute to groundbreaking research in heart disease and tissue regeneration. The role involves developing next-generation biological therapeutics and conducting translational studies using preclinical models. The Postdoctoral Scientist will work closely with the Principal Investigator and other researchers to lead impactful research and achieve the lab's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and sophisticated laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
• Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
• Analyze and interpret data from experiments.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals.
• Participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.

Requirements

• Doctorate (MD) with clinical cardiology/clinical electrophysiology sub-specialty clinical training for at least two years.
• 1 year of experience acquired through technical and theoretical knowledge of research project and objectives during a post-doctoral appointment.
• Demonstrated aptitude to ask research questions and successfully publish papers and/or secure grants.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developing biological therapeutics.
• Familiarity with preclinical models of human disease.
