About the position

The Wang Lab for Advanced X-ray and CT Imaging is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to engage in research focused on Photon Counting CT and Artificial Intelligence. The role involves collaboration with a team of researchers to explore applications of AI and machine learning in medical imaging, particularly in x-ray and CT technologies. The position is available immediately and offers a minimum commitment of one year, with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in Photon Counting CT and Artificial Intelligence applications in medical imaging.
• Collaborate with a team of researchers from Stanford Radiology and other departments.
• Utilize lab resources including Photon Counting CT Lab, Zeego Lab, and Tabletop Cone-Beam CT Lab for research projects.
• Develop novel systems and methods for x-ray and CT imaging.
• Engage in experimentation and analysis related to x-ray CT physics and reconstruction.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Physics, or a related field.
• Strong mathematical and computational skills with expertise in medical imaging.
• Deep understanding of x-ray CT physics, reconstruction, and experimentation.
• Proficiency in image processing and analysis tools such as Python and/or Matlab.
• Proven track record of productive research and publications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and eager to learn.
