About the position
The position is for a highly motivated individual with a PhD in biomedical sciences, focusing on cancer biology and working with mouse models of breast cancer. The role involves conducting detailed research, data collection, and analysis, with an emphasis on developing into an independent investigator. The candidate is expected to have a strong publication record and experience in various molecular and biochemical techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
- Perform basic cell culture and various assays including growth, invasion, and MTT assays.
- Execute IHC/IMF, PCR, Western blotting, and other standard molecular and biochemical assays as needed.
- Prepare buffers and reagents according to protocols.
- Follow and adjust protocols to successfully perform experiments.
- Learn new molecular and biochemical procedures as required.
Requirements
- PhD in biomedical sciences with a strong research track record.
- Experience in cancer biology or cell and molecular biology.
- Strong molecular biology skills including cloning, DNA/RNA analysis, and PCR.
- Cell biology skills including cell culture and cellular assays.
- Experience with biochemical and immunoassay techniques such as Western blotting and ELISA.
- Ability to perform detailed work with sustained attention and care.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of online public cancer-related dataset mining.
