About the position

The Postdoctoral Fellow position at City of Hope focuses on advancing research in hematological malignancies, particularly myeloma. The role involves conducting innovative research to identify novel therapeutic interventions and understanding mechanisms of resistance in myeloma. The fellow will work closely with a team to contribute to high-impact publications and collaborate with external partners in academia and industry.

Responsibilities

  • Devise, plan, document, and advance basic science and translational projects in relevant research areas.
  • Collect data for grant applications and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Work in close collaboration with other team members and external partners from academia and industry, including presentation of progress internally or externally.
  • Train and supervise technical staff.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or M.D. with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of immunology, cancer biology, and oncolytic viruses.
  • Multiple first author publications in high-impact journals.
  • Previous experience in working with animal models.
  • Literature knowledge of one of the three research areas mentioned.
