About the position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide safe and effective care for post-sepsis patients in an outpatient setting at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center. This role focuses on improving management and recovery from sepsis, engaging in morning rounds, and following up with patients to reduce readmissions. The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with no call requirements, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in morning rounds and follow up care in the clinic.
  • Serve patients in the outpatient setting for post-sepsis care.
  • Help reduce readmissions for sepsis patients.
  • Collaborate and work directly with the critical care department.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.
  • DEA and CDS eligibility.
  • Proven experience working with sepsis patients as an NP/PA preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
