About the position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide safe and effective care for post sepsis patients at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center. This role involves engaging in morning rounds, follow-up care in the outpatient setting, and collaborating with the critical care department to improve management and recovery from sepsis. The position offers a full-time schedule with no call requirements, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in morning rounds and follow-up care in the clinic.
  • Serve patients in the outpatient setting for post sepsis care to help reduce readmissions.
  • Improve the management and recovery from sepsis.
  • Collaborate and work directly with the critical care department.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.
  • DEA and CDS eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience working with sepsis patients as an NP/PA preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Willingness to earn underpinning knowledge of sepsis and associated risk factors.
