About the position
Adjunct instructor teaching for nursing clinical in one or more specialty settings for the Post-Baccalaureate BSN program. Current teaching opportunities in adult medical-surgical and pediatric/adult mental health are available for Fall 2025. Future openings anticipated in fundamentals, pediatrics, maternity, and public health.
Responsibilities
- Teaching in clinical specialty settings, as qualified.
- Opportunities for teaching in the nursing skills and simulation labs are available.
- Evaluation of students in clinical and/or laboratory settings, including assignment grading.
- Collaboration with a teaching team within the course.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in primary specialty is necessary; clinical experience in an additional nursing specialty is welcome.
- A bachelor's degree in nursing is required; master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset.
