About the position

This position includes the following duties and responsibilities: Employee is responsible to understand and comply with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, most specifically Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) as it relates to specific job functions. Exhibits superior customer service as an Austin Bank team member. Demonstrates high quality relationship building techniques to ensure the customer receives the best possible solution to his banking and financial needs. Helps promote a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin bank. Participates in developing a teamwork atmosphere with co-workers as part of department/branch location by attending meetings, participating in discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and contributing to departmental goals. Has a responsibility to stay abreast of company communications by reading publications, announcements and company e-mails, etc. Takes advantage of appropriate communication channels regarding bank related business matters. Develop personal skills and capabilities through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval. Uphold and safeguard the organizations values particularly relating to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop personal skills through ongoing training approved by the company.
  • Uphold the organization's values regarding ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Greet customers and provide superior customer service.
  • Ensure portfolio administration and risk management compliance with Austin Bank credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Act as a liaison for clients with the Relationship Manager and other internal departments.
  • Maintain portfolio quality by managing past dues, overdrafts, and loan agreements.
  • Assist lenders in obtaining financial information and documentation.
  • Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary actions for past due accounts.
  • Make presentations on specific loans and participate in the Loan Approval Process.
  • Assist with preparation of cashflows and spreads for relationships under $500,000.
  • Perform periodic reviews and file updates, purging when necessary.
  • Review appraisals and loan documents prior to closing.
  • Attend loan closings and meetings with customers.
  • Perform inspections as required.
  • Identify cross-sales opportunities for bank products.
  • Participate in community and business functions to promote a positive image for the bank.
  • Attend scheduled planning sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
