About the position
The Portfolio Management Director at PNC is responsible for overseeing portfolio managers and their teams, ensuring the success of the team in meeting objectives and timeframes. This role involves facilitating the development and approval process for strategic initiatives, managing the overall portfolio budget, and leading multi-disciplinary functions to ensure portfolio success. The position requires a strong leader with experience in managing large technical groups in a 24x7 environment, particularly in Virtualization, NAS, and Backup environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee portfolio managers and their assigned teams.
- Facilitate the development and approval process for strategic initiative governance for assigned portfolios.
- Oversee the development and review of analysis and reporting information related to key strategic portfolio milestones.
- Accountability for the overall portfolio budget while ensuring success of the portfolio.
- Lead and develop portfolio managers and build vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Experience managing large technical groups in a 24x7 environment.
- Ability to teach and mentor resources at all levels.
- Strong technical and management knowledge across various technology support areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience with moderate to large scope of responsibility.
