About the position

The Porter position at CityPark, home of STL City SC, is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the front of the house. This includes ensuring tables, counters, floors, and beverage stations are clean and well-maintained during service. The role is essential for providing a smooth flow of service and upholding high sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations.
• Bus, clear, and clean tables during peak service times and prep areas prior to service.
• Follow safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils to the kitchen area.
• Wash dishes, glasses, and pots; clean cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards.
• Scrape and rinse food from dishes and wash them by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
• Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation of display equipment during meal service.
• Help receive heavy deliveries and transport them to assigned storage areas while observing safe lifting standards.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Commit to personal safety and the safety of others, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in food service or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of safety procedures when handling kitchen equipment and food.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
• Familiarity with HACCP standards.
