About the position
As a Pool Server at Hotel Viata, you will provide an elevated poolside dining experience by delivering exceptional service with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Responsibilities
- Taking accurate guest orders, entering them into the POS system, making food and beverage recommendations, and ensuring timely service.
- Enhancing the guest experience by suggesting cocktails, wines, and menu items, and confidently describing chef's specials.
- Maintaining knowledge of food ingredients, special dietary options, and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries.
- Keeping kitchen staff informed of meal progression to ensure smooth service.
- Processing guest payments accurately and balancing all transactions with precision.
- Setting up and maintaining the poolside dining area with necessary table settings, condiments, and service essentials.
- Adhering to all food and alcohol handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines to ensure a safe and high-quality dining experience.
Requirements
- Experience in the food & beverage industry.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with guests.
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
