About the position

Western Piedmont Community College seeks applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish to teach topics in the Spanish language curriculum, particularly courses in the introductory and intermediate sequences. The primary responsibilities of faculty are to teach and develop the curriculum by creating an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods, assessing student performance, and maintaining records. Class sessions may take place on a WPCC campus, on Burke County high school campuses, and online.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree with a major in Spanish or a related field (e.g., Romance Languages) or a Master's degree and at least 18 graduate semester hours in Spanish.
  • A Master's Degree in Spanish Education is not the same as a Master's in Spanish; it must include a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish or a related field.
