The Pool Employee Level 2 at Foster Farms is a full-time position focused on various roles within the production line, including grading, spice blending, injector feeding, and line feeding. The role requires working night shifts and involves physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods in a cold environment. The position emphasizes teamwork and efficiency in poultry processing operations.

Responsibilities

• Re-hang chicken on overhead shackles for aging and cut-up or bag fryers.
• Visually observe chicken for bruises and grade each chicken on the production line.
• Separate chickens based on overall quality.
• Mix spices used for brine mixtures and prep carts.
• Weigh and dump bags of spice using a small scoop for exact measures.
• Monitor brine mixtures and record the addition of spice periodically throughout the shift.
• Load breast meat into the injector, ensuring all birds have been strung and necks removed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area at all times.
• Load raw materials onto machines according to production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust feeding rates as needed.
• Collaborate with machine operators to optimize production efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for eight (8) hours or more on a concrete floor.
• Capability to perform rapid and repetitive movements and grasping with hands.
• Ability to work in a cold, damp environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 85 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
