About the position
The position involves performing various types of sleep apnea testing, including CPAP/BiPAP/ASV studies and baseline oxygen studies, within the pediatric care setting at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. The role requires staging and scoring sleep studies, reporting findings, and maintaining department equipment and supplies. The work is integral to providing high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform sleep apnea testing including CPAP/BiPAP/ASV studies and baseline oxygen studies.
- Stage and score sleep studies, reporting pertinent findings and changes.
- Maintain department equipment and supplies used for patient sleep testing.
- Follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Polysomnography experience required.
- 1 year of experience in pediatrics preferred.
- B.S. Degree preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- PSGT certification required by ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC.
