About The Position

The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for Political Science Adjunct Instructor Positions for Academic Year 2025-2026. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and to assist in further development of the UNT Dallas Department of History and Political Science. Requirements

• A master's degree in political science with outstanding teaching experience in teaching foundational-level Political Science courses, OR
• A master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Political Science; with outstanding teaching experience in teaching lower-level Political Science courses.

Responsibilities

• Plan classes and implement teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.
• Provide instruction for lower-division Political Science courses, including American Government I (National), American Government II (state), Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Public Policy, and various other political science courses.
• Undertake the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours.
• Use certain texts and meet parameters set by the Department of History and Political Science.
• Include certain student assessment measures determined by the department and compile data on those assessment criteria.
