About the position

The Pod Leader is responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations at janitorial client job sites, leading a team of janitors known as a POD. This part-time role involves ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed according to established standards and protocols, while also providing training and support to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cleaning operations of one or more janitorial client job sites.
  • Lead a team of janitors (POD) to accomplish cleaning tasks.
  • Perform routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Operate and maintain janitorial cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
  • Maneuver heavy objects using safe lifting techniques.
  • Recognize public safety hazards and apply health and sanitization standards.
  • Train POD team members on-site and ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Check and restock site inventories accurately.
  • Prepare and collect job-related reports and logs.
  • Develop communication processes among team members.
  • Provide feedback to management on job site status.
  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Attend required trainings and maintain certifications.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to present a professional image.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, move, and lift 20 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Availability for all shifts, including weekends.
  • Ability to pass federal, state, and local background checks.
  • Must pass a drug test (THC not included).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
