About the position
The Plumbing Inspection Specialist position with the City of Fort Worth involves performing inspections on plumbing systems to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. The position is part of the Development Services Inspections Division, which handles a variety of construction inspections across commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Performing plumbing inspections to verify compliance with adopted codes on complex projects.
- Attending construction and pre-construction meetings with developers and permit holders.
- Providing hands-on inspection training in the field with other inspectors.
- Assisting with less complicated inspections when needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED supplemented by specialized training in building construction or a related field.
- Four years of experience in plumbing inspection and/or a construction-related field.
- State of Texas Journeyman Plumbing or Master Plumbing License.
- Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners Inspector license when assigned as the Plumbing Specialist.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination.
