About the position
The Plant Technician/Mechanic at Luminant Generation Company LLC is responsible for the operational knowledge of all plant systems and the operation of equipment within specifications and environmental regulations. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations under the guidance of skilled Plant Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting plant equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures.
- Perform clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor.
- Utilize various types of hand, power, precision, or machine tools necessary for safe and productive work environments.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers.
- Follow safety and environmental regulations related to plant operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of related experience in mechanical skills/experience.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures in Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls.
- Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
- Effective oral and verbal communication skills.
