About the position

The position involves reviewing and monitoring plant operations and processes to optimize the quality and production of products that meet required data specifications. This includes ensuring safety and possessing good troubleshooting skills on mechanical equipment such as natural gas internal combustion engines, compressors, electrical and pneumatic controls, pumps, and control equipment. Responsibilities also include installing equipment like pumps, motors, and valves, performing general maintenance, and operating various systems including cryogenics plants, stabilizers, and treatment systems. The role requires collecting data readings, monitoring plant equipment, and performing minor maintenance on compressors. Additionally, the operator will fill out work permits, participate in safety sessions, perform routine shutdowns and startups, and act as a relief operator as needed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor plant operation/processes for optimizing quality and production of products.
  • Install equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves and perform general maintenance when needed.
  • Operation of cryogenics plant, stabilizer, amine and glycol treatment systems.
  • Collect data readings and monitor plant equipment.
  • Perform minor maintenance on compressors and install equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Fill out applicable work/hot work permits and lockout/tag-out documentation.
  • Attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities.
  • Perform routine shutdowns and startups of equipment and perform emergency procedures when required.
  • Act as relief operator as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of related midstream work experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating (day/night) shifts and will require some weekends and holidays to be worked.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed.
  • Interpersonal communication skills to interface with teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Software.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
  • Able to work in close quarters: kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience in the industry or knowledge of plant operations.
  • Good understanding of utilizing horsepower and compression.
  • Warehouse knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and process failures.
  • Process Safety Management knowledge.
