About the position

The Plant Manager at MBV-CA LLC is responsible for the overall leadership and management of a manufacturing plant, ensuring that plant volume, distribution, quality, and operating plan objectives are met. This role involves providing direction, coaching, and feedback to the plant leadership team while fostering a culture of empowerment, integrity, customer centricity, and communication. The Plant Manager will also oversee safety, compliance with regulations, and the optimization of manufacturing and supply chain costs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of personnel, facilities, and equipment, adhering to local laws and safety regulations.
  • Support and manage the business planning process to align with company objectives and set performance targets.
  • Evaluate and direct the implementation of innovation activities, including new production lines and processes.
  • Optimize manufacturing and supply chain costs, managing resources to operate within budget.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports to achieve work objectives and improve performance.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and maintain a quality plan to comply with quality management systems and regulations.
  • Mentor and develop personnel in the manufacturing organization, emphasizing change management and employee ownership.
  • Walk the plant daily to observe performance and ensure adherence to safety practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of ten years of manufacturing experience, including at least five years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, ISO) preferred.
  • Experience with production equipment and inventory management systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hot-fill, brewing, and/or chilled beverage production is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
