About The Position

Plant IV Final Finish Setup Tech will setup and adjust Final Finish equipment, including but not limited to, TUO, Micro-poise, Balance Grinders, Conicity Grinders, SOL, and Geometry. This role involves detecting, adjusting, and correcting equipment using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge. The technician will make necessary setups and adjustments following company standards, observe and adjust machinery for continuous operations, and supervise the first tire run after setup or adjustments, approving it for production. The position requires quick reaction to equipment downtime or extraordinary conditions, notifying supervision when such issues occur. The technician is responsible for correct entry and recording of labor time and performing all work assigned by supervision to ensure high machine efficiency and quality production, following standard practices and instructions with high accuracy. The role also includes ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Responsibilities

Setup and adjust Final Finish equipment including TUO, Micro-poise, Balance Grinders, Conicity Grinders, SOL, and Geometry controls.
Setup, detect, adjust, and correct equipment using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge.
Make all necessary setups and adjustments following company standards.
Observe and make necessary machinery adjustments to assure continuous operations.
Supervise the first tire/tires run following a setup or adjustments and approve for production.
React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions, and notify supervision.
Ensure correct entry and recording of labor time.
Perform all work indicated, required, or assigned by supervision related to high machine efficiency and high quality production.
Follow standard practices and instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
