About the position

The Plant Controller at fairlife, LLC will serve as a key business partner to plant and financial management, overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring effective financial control within the manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for managing the plant's accounting practices, maintaining fiscal records, and preparing financial reports, while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and contribute to the strategic planning process.
  • Prepare and deliver the plant financial forecasts and projections.
  • Ensure effective internal controls including data integrity and adherence to corporate policies and regulations.
  • Lead communication to clarify accountability for internal controls and ensure processes are documented and followed.
  • Develop and analyze statistical and accounting information to report on operating results and performance against budget.
  • Perform and monitor the plant's monthly closing process and communicate results to management and non-financial personnel.
  • Lead actions to achieve financial targets and mitigate risks, providing investment analysis as needed.
  • Partner with site leadership to develop projects that improve productivity and manage the accounting/finance department staff.
  • Implement ERP systems and manage change effectively.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a plant controller or cost manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and financial practices, with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and applicable accounting software.

  • Experience with ERP implementation and training.
