About the position

The Plant Continuous Improvement Manager at Niagara Bottling is responsible for managing the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies within a manufacturing plant. This role focuses on evaluating existing processes to identify opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements, as well as cost-saving measures. The manager will collaborate with plant leadership and corporate teams to establish priorities and lead initiatives that enhance operational performance and contribute financially to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies in the manufacturing plant.
  • Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement and cost-savings measures.
  • Build working relationships with the plant leadership team and corporate Lean Six Sigma team.
  • Lead lean six sigma teams on projects that deliver process improvements and financial contributions.
  • Foster plant-learning and establish continuous improvement competencies within work teams.
  • Act as a member of the plant management team, supporting senior department managers.
  • Coordinate training, education programs, and mentoring relationships for team members.
  • Utilize data-driven problem-solving tools to improve process capability and optimize performance.
  • Implement visual controls to ensure lasting results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing people/projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without positional authority.
  • Experience in leading teams and motivating them to achieve goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • 6 years of experience managing people/projects.
  • Progressive experience in manufacturing roles leading others.
  • Prior experience in filling, food packaging, or high-speed consumer products manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
