About The Position

As a Planner I/II, you’ll contribute to projects that influence how people move, live, and grow—from multimodal transportation systems to land development and community planning initiatives. You’ll collaborate with planners, engineers, and clients to turn data into actionable solutions that balance economic, environmental, and social outcomes. Whether you’re early in your career or building on a few years of experience, this role is designed to accelerate your growth while giving you exposure across disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, or related field (for Planner I)
  • Foundational understanding of planning concepts (transportation, land use, or both)
  • Strong interest in multi-disciplinary planning work
  • Basic skills in data analysis, communication, and technical writing
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (for Planner II)
  • ~1–3+ years of relevant experience (planning, analysis, or related work) (for Planner II)
  • Experience supporting planning projects, reports, or data analysis (for Planner II)
  • Stronger proficiency in: Data interpretation, Report writing and documentation, Working with planning tools/software (for Planner II)
  • Ability to take on more responsibility with moderate independence (for Planner II)

Responsibilities

  • Support data collection and analysis for transportation systems, mobility, and infrastructure planning
  • Assist with development of plans related to: Multimodal transportation, Traffic and mobility systems, Transportation demand management and access
  • Contribute to preparation of general plans, corridor studies, and transportation-focused planning documents
  • Assist in preparing: General and master plans, Zoning code updates, Development and redevelopment plans
  • Support projects focused on community development, infrastructure, and land use strategy
  • Contribute to planning efforts tied to resiliency, environmental considerations, and long-term growth
  • Support public engagement and stakeholder coordination efforts
  • Assist with regulatory compliance and permitting processes
  • Compile and analyze data, trends, and planning inputs to support project decisions
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and professional reports and documentation
  • Maintain quality standards and contribute to team collaboration across disciplines
