Everett Ship Repair is seeking an Experienced Pipe Fitter Journeyman to create pipe spools and other pipe system assemblies and fabrications for repair and other marine projects. Pipefitting team members gain knowledge and experience in many systems, including heating and cooling, refrigeration, fuel, engine cooling, exhaust, sewage, bilge and ballast, and fire suppression. The role involves forming, fitting, and fabricating metal and nonmetallic piping systems in marine vessels according to engineering drawings during all phases of construction and rebuilds, from spools and installation through sea trials. The position requires working in various environments such as fabrication shops, on modular jigs, or on finished assemblies. Responsibilities include laying out, cutting, preparing, and assembling spools and piping systems, measuring, cutting, threading, or bending pipe, and using a variety of hand and power tools. The Pipe Fitter Journeyman will work from blueprints to build complex piping systems, perform basic welding, use metal forming equipment, and operate oxygen/propane cutting torches. Teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety culture are essential. The role also involves developing constructive working relationships and sharing knowledge with other employees.
