The Center for Cancer Care at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire, is recruiting for a full-time board-certified Medical Physicist (board-eligible candidates may apply); competitive salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and certification. The successful professional will join a welcoming and collaborative team of one Physicist and one Dosimetrist dedicated to the highest clinical standards of accuracy and safety in radiotherapy delivery. The Center provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient oncology services in newly-affiliated partnership with Beth Israel Lahey Health, whose Radiation Oncologists will oversee radiotherapy for 30-40 patients/day. Exeter Hospital's commitment to clinical quality is reflected in departmental ACR accreditation, Cancer Center accreditation by the CoC and NAPBC, and active participation in national clinical trials. The department is resourced with two Varian LINACs-one TrueBeam, one newly-installed EDGE-employing VisionRT/OSMS and 6DOF couches to support a full array of external beam treatments (3DCRT, FB/DIBH gating, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS). Patients are simulated on a GE Lighstpeed RT 16-slice 4DCT simulator, and TPS infrastructure includes Eclipse v.16.1 with MCO and RapidPlan, Velocity v3.0, and Radformation's AutoContour, ClearCheck, and ClearCalc products; MOSAIQ v.2.82 is currently the departmental OIS/EMR, with a planned transition to ARIA forthcoming. Key responsibilities include all aspects of routine therapeutic clinical medical physics practice, including some treatment planning; candidates will also be encouraged to participate in quality improvement, departmental patient safety, and educational training opportunities.
