About the position

The position is for a part-time attending physician at Theoria Medical, focusing on providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care services in skilled nursing facilities. The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling, collaboration with nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and the use of advanced electronic health record systems. The physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic illnesses while ensuring a supportive work environment with no overnight duties or weekend calls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the attending physician for residents at skilled nursing facilities.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for daily resident care.
• Provide comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients.
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Complete provider documentation in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, and other medical quality initiatives.
• Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Utilize electronic/online medical tools for administrative functions.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid medical license.
• Experience in primary care or related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or post-acute care.
• Familiarity with Theoria's EHR system, ChartEasy™.
