About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained General Orthopedic Surgeon to join their well-established team at Marshfield Medical Center – Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The orthopedic team includes specialists in Spine, Hand, Foot & Ankle, Sports Medicine, Shoulder Elbow, Pediatrics, and Total Joint. The position encourages involvement in medical education and research. Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is located in western Wisconsin and offers a rich cultural scene, educational institutions, and abundant recreational opportunities. It is situated 75 miles east of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree
BC/BE fellowship-trained General Orthopedic Surgeon
Demonstrate at least 200 orthopedic surgery procedures in the last 24 months (verified by residency/fellowship log or hospital quality profile)
Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated orthopedic surgical residency program or a clinical Fellowship of at least five years’ duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
For those not board certified at the time of application but who have completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless waived by the governing Board.
