About the position

PeaceHealth is seeking a per diem General Orthopedic Surgeon to join the Orthopedic surgery team at Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. This role involves providing orthopedic surgical services at a Critical Access Level III Trauma center, which supports a large catchment area and offers a full scope of orthopedic surgeries. The position includes covering call only, with general surgery onsite and support from a surgery PA, ensuring a stable surgery team and collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgical services as needed on a per diem basis.
• Cover call responsibilities for orthopedic surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgery team and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support general surgery onsite as required.

Requirements

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Valid medical license to practice in Oregon.
• Experience in a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Fellowship training in a subspecialty of orthopedic surgery.
• Experience in a Critical Access or Trauma center.
