About the position
Tennova Newport Medical Center and Jefferson Memorial Hospital are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a busy, single-specialty group. This position offers a partnership track and is open to candidates with 2+ years of experience, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply. The role includes call coverage of 1:3 and provides an opportunity to work in a community-focused environment with access to advanced medical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic surgical care to patients in a community hospital setting.
- Participate in call coverage on a 1:3 rotation.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including 1 Board Certified Physician and 3 Physician Assistants.
- Utilize available medical equipment and staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Engage in community outreach and education regarding orthopedic health.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
- 2+ years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with C-Arm equipment.
