About the position

The Geriatric Medicine Physician (or APP) will be working at a large FQHQ in a medically underserved community focusing mainly on senior patients. You will need to be comfortable treating seniors during evaluation, treatment, and management. Although many patients will come to you with acute issues, you will also need to screen for all chronic diseases. This position may also include clinical oversight for mid-level providers for physicians. Although you will have scheduled hours to work in the clinic, you will also need to be available for on-call services as required in addition to clinical or operations-related meetings that may take place after-hours.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, treat, and manage senior patients.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctorate (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Current Texas licensure.
  • Must have a current DEA Licensure.
  • Community healthcare experience.
  • Spanish speaking, preferred.
