About the position

The position involves working cooperatively with Northwest Health Services (NHS) providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates to achieve the goals and objectives of NHS in accordance with governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures. The role requires treating all individuals with respect, including patients, fellow employees, management, customers, vendors, and visitors. Responsibilities include providing preventive and primary health care services to patients, completing medical records accurately and timely, coding services and diagnoses correctly, and participating in quality improvement activities and community health initiatives. Compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is mandatory, and the role may involve performing related work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with NHS providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates to achieve NHS goals and objectives.
  • Treat others respectfully, including patients, employees, management, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Provide preventive and primary health care services to patients within the scope of licensure and training.
  • Complete medical records accurately and timely.
  • Code services and diagnoses correctly.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including peer review.
  • Engage in community health improvement initiatives.
  • Attend scheduled provider staff meetings.
  • Comply with HIPAA provisions.
  • Perform related work as required.

Requirements

  • Possess an unrestricted physician license in applicable state.
  • Possess current BNDD license, current DEA license, and Board Certification in area of specialty.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and light typing skills.
  • Ability to obtain and retain hospital privileges.
  • Possess cognitive, gross motor, and fine motor skills necessary to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Possess BLS certification.
  • Maintain a valid Drivers License and proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for business.
