About the position

The position is for a Part-Time Physician who will serve as a Group Medical Visit Facilitator. The role involves supervising clinical staff, facilitating group medical visits, and developing care models that promote health equity. The physician will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as maintaining accurate patient records. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises residents, mid-levels, students, and other clinical support staff as appropriate.
  • Facilitates Group Medical Visits, including curriculum development, training, and operational integration.
  • Acts as a Population Health Equity Physician.
  • Helps develop the model of care for Group Medical Visits.
  • Teaches and instructs faculty, residents, and staff in Group Medical Visit operations and function.
  • Supervises and runs the Group Medical Visit program with residents and staff.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician's panel.
  • Keeps and maintains appropriate and accurate records and patient charts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • California Medical License, MD or DO.
  • DEA Certificate, CPR and Board Certification.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Available to work dependable, flexible shift.
