About the position

The Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a medical oncologist to join the Genitourinary Oncology Program. This expanding, multidisciplinary program is focused on providing exceptional clinical care and performing high-impact research in GU malignancies. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise as well as an interest in clinical/translational research. Opportunities within the program include participation and leadership in clinical trials and collaborations with both internal and external laboratory-based investigators pursuing a range of basic and translational research projects. Research in prostate cancer and health disparities represent particularly strong opportunities for development. The successful candidate will also engage in teaching students, residents, and fellows in the clinic and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional clinical care in the Genitourinary Oncology Program.
  • Participate and lead clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with internal and external laboratory-based investigators on research projects.
  • Engage in teaching students, residents, and fellows in clinical and inpatient settings.

Requirements

  • MD, MD PhD, or DO degree.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
  • Licensed or eligible for a medical license in the state of Massachusetts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Interest in clinical/translational research.
  • Experience in research related to prostate cancer and health disparities.
