About the position

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position at Piedmont Columbus Midtown is a PRN role responsible for providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will work with patients of all age groups, utilizing appropriate treatments, procedures, and equipment to help patients achieve their highest level of physical independence as outlined in their treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by the treatment plan established by the physical therapist.
• Demonstrate competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
• Assist patients of all age groups in reaching their highest level of physical independence.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the State of Georgia.
• BLS certification through AHA.
