About the position

RiverView Health, a community owned, membership based non-profit organization, is looking to hire a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a patient-centered, team-based, and collaborative environment. The PT will evaluate and treat patients in outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings, while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior. The position is flexible, with a schedule of 64-80 hours per two-week pay period, including weekend and holiday rotations. The pay range is $38.61 - $54.06 based on experience, and the position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services to develop physical therapy plans of care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals.
  • Identify patient's needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on safety and mobility.
  • Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies.
  • Perform data collection and obtain accurate information.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and supervise physical therapy assistants as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.

Requirements

  • Current State of Minnesota license as a Physical Therapist or in the process of application for licensure.
  • Current American Heart BLS certification is required.
  • Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings for current students.
  • Passing score on NPTE within 3 months of hire for current students.
