The position involves maintaining confidentiality of patient information and adhering to policies and procedures specific to patient rights. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe environment, identifying and reporting hazards, and meeting all requirements for mandatory in-services. The individual will promote a positive image of the hospital to outside agencies and the public, participate in performance improvement activities, and exhibit excellent service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. The position also involves showing courtesy, compassion, and respect while promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Compliance with professional, regulatory, ethical, and legal standards is essential. The role includes evaluating patients, establishing a plan of care based on impairments identified in the evaluation, and performing thorough documentation of all treatments and assessments. The individual will evaluate the need for, recommend, and promote appropriate rehabilitation technology devices, provide training in the use of all prescribed equipment, and perform treatments using advanced rehabilitation technology. Additionally, the position involves assisting with the orientation and training/mentoring of new staff, serving as a resource person, assisting in the development of new programs/services, implementing hospital policies, supervising assigned students and volunteers, and performing other duties as assigned.
