About the position
The primary function of the Physical Therapist is to perform and analyze tests and measurements of disabilities resulting from disease and injury. The role involves planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs, directing and supervising physical therapy services, participating in discharge planning, and pursuing professional growth. Additionally, the Physical Therapist will assist with educational duties and perform administrative tasks as required, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Colorado Physical Therapy Act in providing physical therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Perform and analyze tests and measurements of disabilities resulting from disease and injury.
- Plan, implement, and modify treatment programs.
- Direct and supervise physical therapy services.
- Participate in discharge planning.
- Pursue professional growth and assist with educational duties.
- Perform administrative and other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or BS in related field plus certification or Master's or Doctorate Degree in P.T.
- Graduate of Physical Therapy program accredited by the A.P.T.A.
- Current licensure by State of Colorado as a P.T.
- BLS Certification required.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and understanding of management practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.
- Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.
- Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.
