About the position

Evaluate, plan, direct and administer Physical Therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician, performing all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. The candidate should have skills in outpatient rehabilitation settings to effectively provide Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments. Familiarity with best practices and the latest evidence for common ambulatory clinic pathologies such as degenerative conditions, neurologic impairments, general orthopedics, and post-operative care is essential. Proficiency in rendering common treatment techniques such as manual therapy, neuro rehab techniques, exercise modalities, and the use of functional activities to help patients reach maximum function is required. Specialty therapy certifications are not required but may enhance consideration. The candidate must be flexible and responsive to providing care in alternative settings such as the inpatient unit for occasional cross-coverage and holiday coverage needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, direct and administer Physical Therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in a safe environment.
  • Provide Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments in outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Familiarize with best practices for common ambulatory clinic pathologies.
  • Render common treatment techniques including manual therapy and neuro rehab techniques.
  • Utilize functional activities to help patients reach maximum function.
  • Be flexible and responsive to providing care in alternative settings.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing Physical Therapy within an outpatient care setting is preferred.
  • New graduates or other therapists who have not worked in an outpatient setting may be considered.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Specialty therapy certifications may enhance consideration.
