About the position

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care to patients through evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, patient education, and discharge planning to maximize the patient's functional level. This role is focused on outpatient care and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients.
  • Modifies therapy program and goals as needed.
  • Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Enters charges accurately for services rendered.
  • Understands reimbursement related to the practice setting.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team.
  • Provides education to patients, families, and staff.
  • Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Advances clinical skills through ongoing education and literature review.
  • Implements evidence-based practice in treatment plans.
  • Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues.
  • Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains awareness of system goals and aligns personal goals with work activities.

Requirements

  • Masters' or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
  • Certification as a Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
