About The Position

This full-time position is in the Outpatient Rehabilitation department at Atrium Health Cabarrus Gateway. The Physical Therapist I will evaluate patients, develop and implement patient care plans, and communicate progress to physicians and other clinical staff. This role also involves supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs/Aides.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy program required.
• Applicable state license for Physical Therapy required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, selects and administers assessment techniques, and synthesizes information to establish an appropriate patient care plan.
• Establishes functional goals in conjunction with the patient and provides evidence-based intervention.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges.
• Communicates patient's evaluation and subsequent progress to physician, referral sources, and other clinical staff.
• Coordinates patient's schedule and treatment programs, and discharge planning.
• Provides supervision of PTA's and Rehab Tech/Aide as required for licensure.
