About the position
The Physical Therapist (PRN) at Miami Valley Hospital plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients across various age groups. Responsibilities
- Assumes a leadership role on interdisciplinary patient care teams.
- Identifies patient care needs and develops a plan of care in collaboration with the patient.
- Provides a variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice.
- Educates and supports patients and their families.
- Facilitates continuing care planning.
- Participates in staff management and cost management activities.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and contributes to departmental effectiveness.
- Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines.
- Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management.
- Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided.
- Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants.
- Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.
- Manages case load per department standards.
- Engages in patient satisfaction efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
- Current physical therapy license in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification required at time of hire.
- Ability to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Teamwork oriented with strong analytical and prioritization skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 1-3 years of job-related experience preferred.
