About the position

The Cook/Prep Cook role at Streets of New York involves preparing food items according to established recipes and standards. The role may involve some heavy lifting, including handling 50-lb bags of flour and moving boxes of various sizes and weights containing ingredients such as meats, cheeses, and vegetables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all items are prepared to Streets of New York recipes and standards.
• Keep kitchen and prep areas clean and sanitary.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for guests.
• Assist management in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
• Perform heavy lifting, including handling 50-lb bags of flour and moving boxes of varying sizes and weights.

Requirements

• Prior cooking experience.
• Prior pizza experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior sub/pasta experience preferred, but not required.
• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• Must have current ServSafe certificate.

Benefits

• Pay rate of $16-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
• Regular hours from 11:00am - 9:00pm, with scheduled start times earlier for prep work.
