Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens using proper techniques.
- Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Verify patient information and provide exceptional care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for timely specimen collection.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed while maintaining a professional and personable demeanor.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work evening and night shifts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures.
- Intermediate computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Nice-to-haves
- National Phlebotomy certification or equivalent is preferred.
