Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens using proper techniques.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Verify patient information and provide exceptional care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for timely specimen collection.
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed while maintaining a professional and personable demeanor.

Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to work evening and night shifts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures.
  • Intermediate computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

Nice-to-haves

  • National Phlebotomy certification or equivalent is preferred.
