About the position
This position assists pharmacists with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. Under general supervision, the pharmacy technician is responsible to assist with prescription processing, inventory control, shipping and delivery arrangements including delivery of medication orders to patients within a set delivery radius, and assisting pharmacists in other duties as needed.

Requirements
- Strong organizational, communications and mathematics skills
- Proficiency with Windows applications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
- Ability to understand the importance of and respect the confidentiality of all patient information
- Ability to comply with all safety and security regulations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a pharmacy setting
- Pharmacy technician certificate issued by LA Board of Pharmacy
- Completion of college business and medical terminology courses
- Experience with an online prescription system
