Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services relevant to the patient.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and customer waiting areas.
• Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Understand and follow computerized inventory management and ordering guidelines for medications and supplies.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value for customers and the company.
• Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide appropriate responses.
• Adhere to guidelines for accepting vendor coupons and managing cash transactions.
• Assist the pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives and manage legend orders.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts effectively.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements for the position.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk or in a comparable role.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems.
